Raleigh Co, WV - abandoned “Old Sophia Train Tunnel” used by ATV riders on fire. Sources indicate the fire was caused by a side by side incident. Thousands of Creosote soaked timbers are likely feeding the fire, rumors the fire has spread to a coal seam are undeterminable at this time.

“Crews are currently on site at the tunnel fire. The fire is still actively burning, but still doesn’t pose an immediate danger to any homes or property. The only concern is air quality which is being monitored. Officials from Raleigh County 911, Raleigh County Commission, WV Homeland Security, WV DEP, and WV EPA are all onsite working to mitigate the issue. A plan has been put in place in an attempt to cover both sides of the tunnel. Please stay clear from the area as heavy machinery will be active.”

These have saved me several times on the trails. I personally have used them and they work great. Smashed a valve stem end ones slow leak. Cut it out replaced with this and aired back up. Simple easy to use.
