This weekend, ten women ranging from their 30’s to 60’s started off as strangers and left as friends.
As is generally the case with these retreats, we had an itinerary to follow, which ended up being more of a loose outline as we navigated the weather for kayaking and allowed time for lessons, art projects, and discussions to flow organically.
Lessons and conversations about mindfulness and mental health allowed everybody to share and learn from one another, cultivating friendships and compassion.
Time spent on the river and at the spring head provided amazing experiences with Florida wildlife and nature.
The food was plentiful and yummy! Nobody went hungry this weekend!
I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to bring women together to empower them to explore and experience Florida’s wild spaces.
I’m also honored to facilitate groups that encourage people to be vulnerable with their feelings in a space that is safe and accepting, while learning tools and techniques to promote mental wellness.
