I just learned that Pushing Miles has been selected by Chanticleer Book Reviews & Media as a contender their 2025 Journey Award!! 😍 This award recognized non-fiction works in the genre of “Overcoming Adversity.” (although Ian McPhee and I may have had an unfair advantage in that we overcame a statistically impossible amount of adversity in 800 short(ish) pages 😆) We still have a few rounds of judging to go with a lot of incredible other books in the running, but WOW! I’m just thrilled to have been selected!
This may also be a good time to announce that the Pushing Miles audiobook release is mere days away! If you know us, you know that the audiobook production went totally sideways. The studio where we recorded the book did not let us know that they were in the process of selling the studio out from under us, so we ended up with a “finished product” that was not worthy of publication. Magpies, dogs, and thunder in the background, crazy bad edits, random people (definitely not us) running through and dropping stomach growls and giggles into the recording. So unprofessional. 😐 We have spent the past year working with several studios in two countries to clean up the finished product, and I think we’re about as ready as we’ll ever be. Keep your ears peeled on your favorite audiobook platform - it should be cleared for launch next week 🥳🥳 and if you notice a questionable noise or edit here and there, rest assured that it is simply a continuation of the Pushing Miles-brand sh*tshow you’ve come to know and love.
