I believe my organizational skills, focus and attention to detail are perfect traits for a Travel Advisor. Vaughn Hollingsworth was bitten by the travel bug in college, when a friend convinced her to take a 16-day, 8 country coach tour around Europe. She knew after graduating and starting her career in Human Resources, she would always make travel a priority. While at the University of Nevada Reno
, she also spent two summers working on Catalina Island. She married Dan in 1990 and they have spent their marriage together traveling internationally and taking a slightly different path. In 1997, Vaughn opened a bed and breakfast on the West shore of Lake Tahoe. She operated the B & B, running her own business at the age of 31. Needing to relocate back to Reno for Dan's work reasons, she returned to the HR field but was always thinking about the next opportunity for adventure. In 2005, after years of saving, Vaughn and Dan quit their jobs and spent 9 months traveling the US. Traveling over 26,000 miles, they got to explore most of our country on their own time table. Vaughn returned to the Human Resources field and then, after 23 years in HR, she decided to make a permanent change to follow her passion and focus on travel by purchasing a Cruise Planners Franchise and becoming a travel advisor. Her focus over the last few years has been on helping busy professionals, families and active retirees with all aspects of travel planning and booking. She believes that the organizational skills, focus and attention to detail she needed in the corporate world has carried over perfectly to travel planning. She thinks about all of the details needed to make a trip a success, from flights to airport transfers, to train tickets, to fun things to do in addition to the cruise, hotel and/or city stays. She is ready to help you make your next vacation a reality.
