Did you know the largest tree in the world lives right here in central Utah?
What looks like a forest is actually one connected organism called "Pando". This massive Aspen Clone is known as "The Trembling Giant".
For thousands of years, volcanoes, glaciers, fire, water wildlife and people have shaped this landscape and helped create the conditions for Pando to survive.
"The Trembling Giant: an Immersion in Pando" is more than just a hikeโit's an opportunity to slow down, step inside this ancient living system, and experience the stories, ecology, and history that make this place so unique.
Join us every Saturday throughout the summer at Fish Lake for an interpretive hiking experience exploring:
๐ฟ The science and ecology of pando
๐ The volcanic and glacial history of the area
๐ฅ Human history and cultural connections to the landscape
๐๏ธ Intentional time spent within the world's largest tree
