Got our tree today 🙏🏻 it was definitely a beautiful day filled with grandkids and adventure.shortly after this video I dropped the jeep in the bar Dutch. Not a problem except the winch killed the battery 😳 causing the jeep to die. I jumped out opening the hood to check the battery cables. Nothing loose ,I got back in the jeep and tried the starter. Nothing not even a click ! That is when I started praying “ God please help me get my grandkids out of here” I told my daughter to start gathering firewood. I had tools fool and a boat cover. It was to far for me to walk out or leave them alone. At least 10 mile hike. Three feet of snow and it was 4:30pm. My heart was racing and my mind was panicking. I asked God to take care of my grandkids. I kicked in and started to prepare every one for a night at 10,000 plus feet on a clear nigh. I tried 911 nothing. I had a chainsaw and thought of a idea. Take the belt off the alternator and use the saw to turn it,with the chainsaw. I would need tape or something the wrap the pulley so the saw would get traction to spin it. I’m looking at my three grandkids 1,4,and thirteen.and my daughter. Once again I ask God to get us to safety. I go to the back of the jeep to get out all we need to stay if my idea doesn’t work. My daughter and my 13 year old get out to gather wood. I go back to the battery to check one more time if the cable is loose. I grab the cable and the positive moved😳it didn’t the first time but this time it move. There was some corrosion and I cleaned it. I got back in and nothing “ not even trying to in gauge. I’m still praying. Now I’m scared. I really started to panic.
Ok I’m going to take the belt off and use the saw to spin the alternator.
God please help me to get the kids out of here. I’m a survivalist but five people on a night that is going to be at least 10 of more below zero . This was a bad call on my part. We had blankets and that huge boat cover fire starter and plenty of wood but holly heck” this is the real deal. We are at least 10 miles 10,000 feet and I have everything that means the world in my hands . Once again I asked Hod to keep me calm. And to help me protect my family. I was getting my tool box out. And I felt the need to try one more time to try to start the jeep. I put the key in and turned it “
Nothing!
I prayed again God please help us. I tried again,it started 🙏🏻we were still in the ditch ,I had to use the winch again ,I kept the RPM’s up and Zoe my 13 year old hooked the winch to trees until I got the jeep turned around. I drove to the 30’ tree and hooked it up. That’s when I noticed the fuel light was on. We had used so much fuel spinning and going in when the jeep was on level ground the light came on. It was showing 3/8 of a tank until it was level. 😳😳😳we started out I was definitely pray more to get us as far out as possible. It was the longest 10 plus miles of my life.
God is real ! He definitely had his hand over us today. We all are home with our tree and warm. Merry Christmas to all and good night. Thank you Lord for your protection and getting my grandkids home tonight 🙏🏻
