The Ridgefield Holiday Historic House Tour returns on Saturday, December 6, 2025, presented by and benefitting Tiger Hollow Inc.(tigerhollow.com) and the Ridgefield Historical Society (ridgefieldhistoricalsociety.org) with proceeds funding important preservation, athletic, education, and community enrichment initiatives.

A cherished Ridgefield tradition, the Holiday Historic House Tour showcases the town’s rich architectural heritage and festive spirit. Guests are invited to step inside some of Ridgefield’s most distinctive homes, each beautifully decorated for the season.

Tickets will be available beginning in September.

Reflecting back on this event and we can’t thank everyone enough! The 2023 Holiday Historical Stroll was a HUGE success!

HAPPINESS ABOUNDED!
Thank you to everyone who bought tickets and enjoyed the Ridgefield Holiday Historic House Tour today. Tiger Hollow and Ridgefield Historical Society volunteers came together to create this event and staff it — a huge effort — and our gracious homeowners went all out to give the guests a wonderful experience. Thank you to our sponsors, to the vendors who created a festive Holiday Market at Lounsbury House; a special shout-out to the UPS Store, which turned around a last minute sign order so quickly Friday night. And we are especially grateful that the weather was so cooperative!

STROLL TO LOUNSBURY HOUSE SATURDAY
Lounsbury House will be bustling on Saturday not only with the Holiday Historic House Tour registration but also with a special Holiday Market, to which everyone is invited. Vendors offering holiday gifts and decor will be on hand from 8:30 to 3. The weather forecast is great for the Ridgefield Holiday Stroll, so add the Lounsbury House to your list of destinations on Dec. 2. This beautiful mansion is decked out for the holidays and ready for visitors. The Ridgefield Historical Society, which joined with Tiger Hollow this year to sponsor the House Tour, will have a table with information about town history and upcoming events.

If you have bought your tickets for the Ridgefield Holiday Historic House Tour — if you haven’t, sorry, it’s sold out — there are a few things to know about the 2023 tour. One of the most important is that all guests will need to register before setting out, and that process will require a photo ID from each guest. (If you’ve ordered for a group of friends, each person must register.) With 750 ticket holders, we’re aiming to make registration as easy as possible by offering an early registration period on Friday, Dec. 1, from 11 to 3 at the Jill Rae Design Studio, 19 Governor Street. Stop in, register, and get your wristband and you’ll be good to go on Saturday, when registration will take place at Lounsbury House. (And even if you don’t need to register Saturday, make sure to visit Lounsbury House, in all its holiday glory, where there will be a Christmas Market from 9 to 3.)
In addition, there is lots to know about Parking, Buses, the Featured Homes, What to Wear, and, of course, where to get your pre- or post-Tour refreshment. All the details about the day are now posted on the website, including a map of the houses and the circulating bus route, https://ridgefieldholidayhousetour.com/.
