After, almost 13 years, my tenure with a local frame shop ended. I continue to do custom framing from my home studio.
I obtained my business license in 2004 after leaving Studios On the Square, where I ran the framing department for 5 years, then managing the gallery for the next 5 years, overseeing the framing department, scheduling art exhibits, purchasing handcrafted pottery, hand blown glass, and jewelry from regional and national craft shows, and working with local artists. I’ve been in the custom frame business for 36 years.
Framing has always connected me to the art world, which I love, and gives me a creative outlet for my own artistic talents.
In addition to framing, I’ve worked in other creative outlets, such as window treatment design and upholstery.
Over the years, I’ve met and cultivated relationships with many clients, both through the shop and my own business contacts. I’ve enjoyed getting to know my customers and helping design and work on their projects, artwork, and portraits.
