Travel Agent Tip—I highly recommend trying the local restaurants when you travel. You can get chain restaurants anywhere. But town taverns, diners or pubs are usually top notch establishments with local flavors or specialties that you aren’t going to find in your hometown. (At least not in MY small hometown!) You’re on vacation, GO EXPLORE & try new things!

First leg of our trip is 675 miles—about 10 hours not including stops. Getting through SC is torture for me! I need high energy, keep me awake music! What do you listen to?

Second leg has us heading to New Orleans and JAZZ! 640 miles from Orlando and about 9 hours of driving. I have Al Hirt and Doc Severinson along with Trombone Shorty. Husband has his saxophone people but what else might we be missing? Oh, and Big Bad VooDoo Daddy is ALWAYS in the mix!

Last leg is New Orleans home and it’s 860 miles and about 13 hours. (Boo) We’ll need something to keep us going.

So what’s on YOUR mixtape or playlists? I like making some new ones up before we leave!
