What gorgeous weather we had today! Cool, but sunny, so we could shed our sweaters, vests and coats as it warmed up into the low 60’s.
This is Dream Vacations 2026 River Cruise Summit charter for their agents! Our welcome reception started off with V***e Clicquot! I think I’m going to like it here!!
And then a special German pastry delivered to our stateroom to celebrate Mainz Carnival, which leads into Lent. Yum!

Sights around Mainz, Germany! We were exhausted after flying overnight from Florida to Germany, but we wanted to adjust to the new time, so we had early lunch at our hotel across from the train station: lamb schnitzel and pumpkin curry foam. Both were good, but oddly needed salt! Pretzel booth!! Beer Garden at the Hilton Hotel!! And we spotted the dock where our Viking ship will come into the next day. It was fun wandering around Mainz.
