FIRST LOOK: Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge!

We finally have our first look inside the guest rooms at Disney’s newest resort!

Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge is officially set to open July 1, 2027 at Walt Disney World, and Disney just revealed some of the room designs, including the brand new waterfront Lake Houses!

The resort will have 967 rooms with everything from cozy studios for two to three bedroom Grand Villas that sleep up to 12.

I love that Disney is incorporating different movies into each room type!

🌿 Encanto | Duo Studios
🦌 Bambi | Deluxe Studios and 1 and 2 Bedroom Villas
🍂 Pocahontas | Resort Studios
✨ Fantasia | 3 Bedroom Grand Villas
🐻 Brother Bear | Waterfront Lake Houses

The Lake Houses are probably what caught my attention the most. These will be freestanding one and two bedroom accommodations right along Bay Lake with huge floor to ceiling windows and private porches overlooking the water. They’ll sleep up to 5 or 8 guests and include a full kitchen and washer and dryer.

There’s even going to be a Northern Lights inspired lighting feature in the primary bedroom!

For bigger families, the villas give you plenty of room to spread out, and those three bedroom Grand Villas sleeping up to 12 could be a really great option for extended or multigenerational family trips.

Disney is also introducing The Artist’s Nest for select Club Level guests, with refreshments, personalized service and views of the Magic Kingdom fireworks. 🎆

NEW Treats & Drinks Are Coming to Walt Disney World This Fall!

Disney just dropped a HUGE lineup of new food and drinks coming to Walt Disney World, and there are some seriously fun additions!

We’re talking new Mickey waffles and pancakes, churros, frozen slushes, milkshakes, specialty drinks and cocktails throughout the parks, resorts and Disney Springs.

A few that immediately caught my attention:

🥞 Birthday Cake Mickey Waffles with birthday cake custard, cake crumbles & rainbow sprinkles

🍓 Mickey-shaped Strawberry Waffles with vanilla custard

🍫 Candy Bar Mickey Waffles with cookie bar pieces, caramel & chocolate sauce

🍍 DOLE Whip Pineapple & Churro Sundae with chili-lime pineapple and coconut

🍓 Churro Strawberry Shortcake Sundae with strawberry soft serve, strawberry compote & cake crumble

☕ Churro-misu Cold Brew topped with tiramisu cold foam and served with a churro

🍪 Steamboat Willie Milkshake with cookies ’n cream ice cream, cookies and cream churros, a sugar cookie & whipped cream

And that is barely scratching the surface! There are also several new frozen slushes, margaritas, specialty cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks coming.

Everything is expected to start rolling out at locations across Walt Disney World Resort this fall, with a couple of the announced offerings coming in 2027.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is one of my favorite Disney events!

There’s something about Magic Kingdom during Halloween that makes an already magical place feel even more special.

One of my favorite parts is seeing the kids dressed up in their costumes and trick-or-treating their way around Magic Kingdom. It adds so much to the experience, especially if you’re traveling with younger kids.

But there’s a lot more to the party than trick-or-treating. You’ll find the Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, special fireworks, the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, character appearances, Halloween-themed entertainment, special treats and more.

And if you’ve never been, here’s something important to know: Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a separately ticketed event, so you do not need a regular Magic Kingdom park ticket to attend the party.

There are still tickets available for select dates, but several party nights have already sold out.

Quick Travel Tip: Booking Early Matters!

One of the biggest pieces of advice I give travelers? Don’t wait until the last minute to start planning.

Booking early doesn’t always mean you’re going to get the absolute lowest price, but it DOES usually mean you’ll have more options.

-More resort and room choices
-Better cruise cabin availability
-More choices for your preferred travel dates
-More time to spread out the cost of your vacation

And here’s something a lot of people don’t realize: booking early doesn’t necessarily mean missing out if a better promotion comes along later. Depending on the destination and supplier, I can often check whether a new promotion can be applied to an existing reservation.

You don’t need to have every detail figured out before reaching out either. Sometimes the best place to start is simply, “We want to go somewhere next summer. What are our options?”
