I had a great time with these 2 gentlemen today. We tried for Pompano for the first part of the trip, but couldn't score on them. We caught jacks and whiting so then we changed up and went for reds. Ended up with a nice black drum and this 23" red. The last 30 minutes we figured why not shoot for a tarpon. We found some rolling but couldn't get them to eat. All around it was a great trip. One of things about my job that inspires me the most is when these kids catch their biggest fish, or the most fish, or maybe it was just a unique fish to them. Either way the smiles tell it all and when the trip is over they tell me they can't wait to do this again.
