How does working with a travel agent actually work?

If you are on the fence about travel agents, I do understand. There are a lot of stories and misconceptions out there, but the truth is, a good agent will do the following (things I will try to do for every one of my clients):
--find you a great value for your vacation dollars and apply any valid promotions
--get all your paperwork and documentation in order
---keep track of current rules and regulations
--send tips and tricks
--answer all pre-travel questions
--act as back-up if something goes sideways during the trip
--be available during your trip for any emergencies that arise
and all of this is INCLUDED at no extra charge when you book with me.

A good comparison would be: if you want your toilet fixed, and the toilet company will pay for the plumber, will you use the free professional service or will you fix the toilet yourself?
