Hi Friends!

I realized today that there are a lot of new followers lately (almost 700 of you😳) and I’m part due for a re introduction!

My name is Lulu! I am a long term Salem resident, born and raised a few miles north in Gloucester. I have been the sole owner and operator of The Salem Plant Witch since August 11 2020. SPW started in my living room, an idea that came together partially formed in the midst of Compassion Fatigue from my career in Human Services and a temporarily disabling condition during the height of COVID-19. I wanted to create a space for people to learn about plants, their care, green witchcraft, and fostering an understanding of ourselves through the combination of these things. I started selling my Intention bottles at local shops and craft fairs before taking the plunge last year into operating my own retail spot downtown.

Some important stuff to know about me and the business (since this is a solo venture, I am the business and the business is me)

SPW is an LGBTQIA+ owned shop. Open and affirming. I believe that Witchcraft is political and that Magic and Science are two sides of the same coin. No one can be illegal on stolen land. Housing and Healthcare are Human Rights.

As it was in the beginning, I am still a one woman show. I am at the shop as often as I am able. I try to be on top of my correspondence and messages. If I’m being really honest, I’m not perfect at it but I promise I am doing my best.

I want to try to improve my web presence so AMA and I will do my best to answer it on a platform. 🥸

I’ve spent the day trying to deep clean my house and I came across the very first Craft tools I ever purchased (way back in 2000.)

I love being able to make some magic during my workday. While sitting at the register today, I was able to make my friend’s Hagstone into a necklace for her, with an iron key toggle for some extra protection. 🎃

The Olive tree has a significant presence in folklore and magical practices. Olive oils, branches, and leaves are often used for their protective and purifying properties. These olive wood mortar and pestles are some of my favorite new additions to the shop.

Hi Friends!

The renovation is done and I’m back up and running!
The new space is everything I hoped that it would be. I have space to breathe and to take on some new items and ideas. I now have a “make your own intention bottle” ✨station✨ where you can choose your own crystal and stone options and put them together in the shop. This will make the service a lot more accessible, and cut down on the steps necessary to book a session with a group.
