How soon is too soon? What is an adequate time to wait after a massive tragedy, like the fires of Lahaina, before interpreting the site for ghost tours and selling ticket sets to tell the stories?

We feel 2 years is way too soon It would be the same issue for a site with a recent murder, su***de, or tragic accident, where there could be paranormal activity, but local people are still grieving, and close family members have to see their deep loss exploited for money-making entertainment purposes.

What do you think a respectable waiting period should be between a horrific loss and telling a related ghost story on a public tour of the site?

A national ghost tour company is being denounced for a planned offering in a Maui city devastated two years ago by wildfires that took the lives of more than 100 people.
