Texas weather summed up: coats on, coats off, coats on, coats off. I’ll settle for halfway on. While the weather is a bit cool, we have been loving the great afternoon temperatures and still exploring the woods and rocks several times a week. Cold weather is great for the immune system and research shows it’s great for the brain! We’ll see you outside!

The weather is perfection in Texas, so walking home from school through the woods is obligatory. We always see weird stuff, every single time we go. Sometimes you see bones, strange spider webs, intricate birds nests, dens, etc. We had the usual mallard duck sighting, poison ivy (look for aerial roots on a vine), little fish, turtles and our usual friends. This time there was a new trail that we checked out and found someone built a structure in the woods. Hmm. 🤔 That tops our weird list…at least for this week. What weird things have you found when exploring?
