The airlines ask that you arrive and check in 2 hrs prior to departure for a domestic flight and 3 hrs prior to departure for an international flight. This is not to make you wait around at the airport but so they have time to load the luggage. We're moving into summer travel meaning it's a busy time at the airport. Check your flights before departing for the airport for any delays, cancelations or changes.

Stragglers beware: U.S. travelers flying with United Airlines will have to check in to domestic flights a little earlier starting next week. That is, if they’re customers only taking carry-on…

Passing on this *real* important reminder from the TSA!

Starting May 7, your driver’s license or state ID must be a REAL ID to fly within the U.S. If you won't have one by that date, you can bring your passport or another acceptable form of ID instead. Just remember – without identification that’s REAL ID compliant, you may get delayed at screening or possibly won’t be permitted through TSA’s security checkpoint, so plan ahead.
