PLEASE, STOP AND TAKE A MOMENT TO READ THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE. IT IS IMPORTANT.
Remember, even if countries open their borders to travelers, we remain under a level 4 travel warning. Yes, currently; every country is at a level 4 warning. So, anything other than US travel is at your own risk.
Please make sure you know and understand that the US is advising against ALL international travel until further notice. Specifically, the State Department says, "If you choose to travel internationally, your travel plans may be severely disrupted, and you may be forced to remain outside of the United States for an indefinite time frame."
Let's clarify this.
The Level 4 travel warning is advising that IF YOU DO decide to travel, you may be forced to remain outside of the US for an indefinite amount of time. That risk or decision is up to the individual traveler and something you should be aware of.
It WILL impact your travel insurance should you need to use it. Insurance providers follow the official guidelines of the State Department so if you become ill or are hurt, injured or denied immediate repatriation to the US, don't count on your travel insurance to step in to rescue you.
Talk to your insurance company to verify their specific policy and make sure you know and understand the risks of international travel under a level 4 travel warning.
U.S. Treasury Secretary says it’s too difficult to tell at this point whether international travel will make a comeback within the year, advocating for domestic travel instead.
