First offshore trip of the season was a banger. A wide open kelp led to catch and release aquarium fishing for all you want yellowtail and dorado. Once we had had enough, we called our buddy in to finish it off and went to look for some yellowfin, and we found them in no time. Offshore Fishing is now in full swing, suddenly, and finally. Despite the Mexican tuna seiner fleet wrapping bluefin all over the ocean, we managed to land a couple on the spreader bars. These bars get bit, even when the fishing is tough. No shortage of fish out there, just need them to get with the program.
