Just got home from my volunteer work at SAN airport as a TSA decoy. I usually volunteer about once every two months for a couple of hours. This service is very dear to my heart for two reasons, one because I am a travel consultant, and I believe our air safety is very important. And two, as a dog lover it is so interesting to take part while some of our nations finest scent-work dogs do their jobs.

The TSA K9 team at San Diego International Airport can ALWAYS use VOLUNTEERS to be decoys to test the dogs in reality-based scenarios at the airpot. It is NOT strenuous work. They cover your parking. They have a couple of shifts to choose from. I highly recommend it. Dog club members make up most of their volunteers.

They always need new people because the dogs are so smart and remember you, so you can only volunteer once every 45 days. If you are interested, PM me and I will give you their contact information.

And the last time I asked, I was told that almost every airport in the US has a TSA K9 team and needs volunteers. So you might check out your local airport. He said LAX is in dire need of volunteers.
