Did you know San Diego just ranked #3 on Yelp’s list of Top Foodie Cities? 🍴

San Diego isn’t exciting because of the latest trendy spot. helps you find the places that have been here all along, and the stories that make each neighborhood worth exploring 🍴

Yelp gives locals a place to share what actually matters: what to order, the dish that’s worth coming back for, and the details only a longtime regular would know.

Keeping those stories alive gives someone who’s never been here a chance to discover more than a restaurant. They get to experience the food, the people, the traditions, and the soul behind San Diego’s neighborhoods.

Because the best way to experience San Diego’s dining scene isn’t just to follow what’s new. It’s to know where the locals have been going all along ✨

From a fire-damaged, forgotten house in Barrio Logan to one of San Diego’s coziest Italian gems 🇮🇹✨

was brought back to life by a husband and wife team, and walking in feels a little like being welcomed into a friend’s home in Italy. They also earned a Bib Gourmand from Michelin, which recognizes spots that serve really good food at a great value.

Everything we tried:
➳ Homemade focaccia bread (complimentary)
➳ Mushroom Flan
➳ Crab Gnocchi
➳ Mafalde Ragu dell’Aia
➳ Ciccio
➳ Tiramisu

This is the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve been invited into a friend’s home in Italy for dinner, and it’s a place I’d happily return to ❤️

Themed Late Night Events in San Diego 💿🦋

Second Saturdays at Punch Bowl Social (PBS) in Downtown turn into the ultimate late-night hangout with After Dark Saturdays. Each month also brings different themed nights ranging from DJ’s spinning 90’s-00’s R&B to Latin Hits. There’s also drink specials and throwback board games, all with the energy PBS is known for.

I love that they have hourly raffle prizes up for grabs all night long. I’ve been to PBS countless times and there’s so many activities that are perfect for all party sizes. My favorites are bowling, karaoke, playing the arcade games, and taking photos at their photo booth 📸

Upcoming event:

🗓️ After Dark 90’s-00’s R&B — Saturday, 9/12 🎶

Things to know:

• After Dark Saturdays happen second Saturdays each month from 9 p.m. – 12 a.m. 🕘
• Each month features different themed nights like 90s - 00s R&B and Latin Hits
• Hourly raffle prizes all night long 🎟️

Lost in space escape room in San Diego?! 🚀👽🪐

The Escape Game just took escape rooms to another planet. In Cosmic Crisis, you and your team have 60 minutes to take control of a failing spaceship, crack the clues, and figure out how to survive before things go wrong.

The only problem is that your entire team might not make it to the end 👀 So if you’re looking for an escape room that feels more like an actual space mission, this one is definitely worth checking out.

San Diego’s Most Popular AYCE Dim Sum 🥟✨

closed for almost five years after a fire, but since reopening, they’ve made a huge comeback. You’ll find aunties hand-making dumplings, steaming baskets of dim sum, and over 45 options to choose from! They even have curry, drinks, and other sides available too.

And if you’re not feeling AYCE, they also offer à la carte options. Personally, dim sum can get expensive when you’re ordering everything individually, so I think the AYCE is definitely worth the buck!

AYCE pricing:
➳ Weekdays — $34.99
➳ Weekends — $37.99

With so much food to choose from, I can definitely see why this has become such a popular spot for AYCE dim sum in San Diego! 🥟❤️

The highly anticipated Japanese dining experience is now open in San Diego 🥢✨

Located inside of The Guild Hotel, brought its globally acclaimed modern izakaya experience to California for the first time. This luxury Japanese restaurant has locations everywhere from Hong Kong and Istanbul to Rome, Miami, and Madrid. I was invited to the exclusive preview night for Zuma, San Diego’s newest izakaya-style concept, and of course we had to see what the hype was about.

The space is just as impressive as you’d expect, with a large indoor dining room and an outdoor garden terrace that makes the whole experience feel elevated 🌿🍸

The menu is designed for sharing, with smaller plates meant to be ordered multiple at a time. We tried as much as we could, and there were definitely some standouts 👀 The prices are on the higher side, so this is definitely more of a “dress up and impress your date” kind of spot, a special occasion dinner, or somewhere to splurge on a date night.

⭐️ 10/10 experience!
