Backpacking is a long game 🏔️ 🎒 🥾

When I did my first thru-hike 3 years ago, I felt overwhelmed by all the gear and knowledge I thought I needed.
⁣
But the truth is, you only gain those things through lived experience — and good gear is pricey. You don't need it all at once. My most unreal trek to date, crossing a glacier in a full-blown blizzard, involved a $10 tent with cartoons on it 🤣
⁣
Looking back, it's so satisfying to see how my skills, gear, and confidence have all evolved with practice. That journey is the magic of thru hiking, not just the spectacular views.
