Some travel moments stay with us long after we return home.
A common love for music. A gorgeous sunset.
A historic setting.
Locals and visitors dancing to the same rhythm.
A sense of shared joy.

This is one of the reasons I fell in love with Essaouira, and why I designed our Saffron Harvest & Cultural Festivals Journey to include this beautiful coastal city. Essaouira is known for its spirit of coexistence, and you can feel it in moments like this.

This October, we’ll travel from Marrakech to Essaouira, experiencing Morocco through iconic sights, seasonal harvests, cultural and music festivals, and the moments that remind us how connected we truly are.

What moved me most about Morocco was not just its beauty, but the feeling of familiarity I found in parts of the culture.

The warmth between people.
The generosity.
The pride in heritage and tradition.
A culture where music, hospitality, rituals, and shared meals still bring people together in meaningful ways.

It reminded me of parts of the culture I left behind when I left Iran as a teenager.

And over time, I realized that many travelers are searching for more than beautiful places when they travel.
They’re looking for connection, depth, and experiences that feel human and memorable.

That feeling became one of the inspirations behind Morocco Bahja Tours.

Not just to help people see Morocco, but to experience more of the soul of it through its people, traditions, celebrations, and everyday culture, while helping support the local communities and artisans who keep many of these traditions alive.

Saffron, black tea, sugar and indigo, turned into art on the street. Creativity in Morocco is never in short supply.

This fall, join us on a rare journey to experience saffron where it grows, witness a folklore festival in Marrakech, and celebrate Andalusian music in Essaouira.

What moves me about Morocco is how often thoughtfulness appears
without any expectation of being noticed.

Small acts of preparation. Small signs of care.

The kind that make you feel considered
without a word being spoken.

That’s the kind of hospitality woven into
everyday life here
and the Morocco I love showing people.

It’s what you remember, long after the landmarks.
