This sweet old lady fed the street cats regularly. The first time I saw her I was so touched and genuinely wanted to tell her what a kind heart she has. She only spoke French and Arabic and couldn’t read my translation. I wasn’t able to tell her in words, but through gestures I think she understood me.
This is Bahja - the simple act of kindness that shows up in unexpected places in Morocco. It’s why our trips leave room to actually notice the place you’re in, not just move through it.
