Born and raised in a research camp in the heart of the Okavango Delta, and spending many of his formative years in South Africa, Mads’ story is shaped by the landscapes he still calls ‘home’. That upbringing instilled a deep, lasting connection to Africa.

Now four years into his time with Piper & Heath, Mads has had the privilege of helping you plan hundreds of journeys across the continent, while continuing to spend meaningful time on the ground throughout sub-Saharan Africa.

What he values most is the balance: building a life in the U.S. without ever having to step away from Africa. In many ways, it’s the best of both worlds.
