🌲 OUTSIDE LANDS SURVIVAL GUIDE: Local Edition 🌲
Thinking of heading to Golden Gate Park for Outside Lands this year? Don’t get caught looking like a tourist in a sundress when the fog rolls in. Here are 5 things the official website won’t tell you:
1. The "Karl" Tax: It will be 70 degrees at 2:00 PM and 50 degrees by 6:00 PM. If you aren’t wearing layers, you’ll end up buying a $100 festival hoodie just to survive. 🧥
2. The Signal Black Hole: Cell service dies the second you enter the trees. Screenshot the set times and map NOW, and pick a "meeting tree" for your crew before the first beer. 📵
3. The Richmond/Sunset Divide: Getting an Uber afterward is a nightmare. Walk 10 blocks away from the park into the Richmond or Sunset before even trying to call a ride, or just hop on the N-Judah or 5R. 🚌
4. The Bathrooms: Head to the porta-potties near the smaller stages (like Panhandle). The ones by Main Stage are a war zone. đźš˝
5. Eat Like a Local: Skip the generic fries and hit "Wine Lands" or "Cheese Lands." The food is half the reason we pay the ticket price. 🍷🧀
