Some positive news if your flights were canceled due to COVID-19

GREAT NEWS: The US Dept of Transportation reiterated today that when an airline cancels your flight, they owe you a cash refund, period.

IMPORTANT: If you have been denied a cash refund and told you need to take a voucher, I would highly recommend calling the airline back now and quoting them today's new Department of Transportation guidance on refunds.

If airlines deny a refund because coronavirus is not their fault, this is from DOT:

"The focus is not on whether the flight disruptions are within or outside the carrier’s control, but rather on the fact that the cancellation is through no fault of the passenger."
