Hello Katzprints fans, I just sent the annual photo calendar to the printer. The 2025 subject is "Volcanic landscapes". Please let me know by December 10 if you are interested in a copy. Or two. Or three ;-) Despite rising cost, I am keeping them at $15 plus shipping.

Friends, due to many reasons, I am super late with calendars this year; I was actually debating if I make them in the first place... But I know many of you look forward to them, so there, they just went to the printer. This year's theme is WATERFALLS! As always, send me a message if you would like to order some. I am back from a fabulous trip to Alaska. It will take a while to go through the thousands of photos but here is a first teaser: a brown bear aka Grizzly in Denali National Park. Grizzlies forage the Denali Tundra for blueberries which cover the hillsides as far as the eye can see. It is said that a bear eats around 200,000 berries a day to prepare for winter, but who is counting?!

Another year has passed and our local Bald Eagles have a chick again. It's the 5th year they are nesting, and it's wonderful to know that they have contributed to the comeback of this wonderful bird in the San Francisco Bay Area. Here is a shot I took at the nesting site last weekend. Mama eagle is bringing fresh bedding for the nest and is - as happens quite often - harassed by American Crows.
