Sandy Pond Channel Maintenance Association The SPCMA is a group of dedicated people working together to keep the sandy pond channel dredged. The channel is essential to local business and tourism.

The shores of the channel are the only freshwater sand dune in the north east U.S. Just a reminder to everyone who spends a lot of time passing through the channel in the summer. Watch out for the large rocks that are on your port when returning from the lake. They are near the smaller set of spar buoys on the lake side. Last year someone tried to mark them with plastic bottles but hopefully they will be marked better this upcoming season

As we come into the 4th of July week/weekend,we want everyone to stay safe. A gentle
Reminder to keep boaters safety certificate and coast guard safety supplies on the boat/pwc with you .
Law enforcement have been checking to make sure that everyone is keeping safe and having a great holiday weekend!!

Water levels are fairly low at 244.56
Lake Ontario levels normally around 246’
Great day to be out! Will keep updates posted.
