🇮🇪 One Last Adventure Before Heading Home!
Yesterday we squeezed in one more adventure before wrapping up this incredible trip, taking a Paddywagon tour to Glendalough and the Wicklow Mountains.
What a beautiful way to get just a glimpse of Ireland! The green countryside, mountains, ancient ruins, and history definitely left us feeling like we only scratched the surface of everything Ireland has to offer.
And sometimes a glimpse is all it takes. 😂 Rose and I are already thinking that a longer, more extensive trip through Ireland might need to find its way onto our future travel list as we continue exploring the world together.
We’re sitting at the airport now waiting for our flight home and looking back on an amazing 12 days in Scotland and Ireland.
Most of our trip was spent traveling through Scotland on a Collette tour with just 19 people from across the U.S. and Canada. What a great group! One of the things we love about traveling is meeting people who share that same love of seeing the world.
Over the course of the tour, we shared meals, laughed together, explored some incredible places, and swapped plenty of travel stories. Everyone has a story about where they’ve been, what they’ve experienced, and where they still dream of going. By the end of a trip like this, you’re not just traveling with a group of strangers anymore.
Hopefully our paths cross again someday and we get the chance to share another adventure together!
This trip gave us castles and ancient ruins, mountains and lochs, big cities and tiny villages, five ferries in one day, the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, incredible scenery, and more history than we could possibly absorb in 12 days.
But once again, we’re reminded that travel is about more than just the places you see. It’s also about the people you meet and the memories you make along the way.
Now it’s time to head home. ✈️❤️
But I have a feeling Ireland hasn’t seen the last of us. 🇮🇪
For those who have explored Ireland, where should we go next time?
