Spending some time this week visiting Santa Fe, New Mexico with Visit Santa Fe, New Mexico and Steller. Getting to see and exploring all it has to offer for four days is a blast. Checked into the Four Seasons Santa Fe, shopped along the plaza, wine tasting at Gruet, and time outdoors seeing the fall foliage. Blog post coming soon!

One of my favorite local Airbnb is located in the rolling hills of Sonoma County.

For me, this home is all about relaxation and the best part is, it’s not far from wineries and restaurants, but also completely submerged in nature. Our hosts made sure we had everything we needed to truly unwind — from Turkish towels for their redwood hot tub to picnic essentials and a grill to enjoy outdoor dining. I was able to unplug and truly enjoy this beautiful space. I’m always inspired by the homes available on Airbnb.

Reflecting back on one of my favorite stays near Saguaro National Park in Arizona.

When I reflect on the stay, it was our hosts and their thoughtful touches that made it memorable, from the coffee they left to the local visitor guide they provided. They also incorporated local artists into the design of the rooms. Sitting on 38 acres of lush desert land, I was able to truly disconnect and rest - one of the many reasons why I use - to escape to the greatest outdoors.

6 weeks ago, I shared that I was going to pivot my business and take a leap of faith. I was telling Travis this week that I feel like I’ve been given an opportunity to recreate parts of my business — and it has lit a new spark of creativity.

A few ways of evolving business this season has looked like... introducing home design content and restructuring the website to reflect these topics. Focusing on revenue-generating content. Developing more Lightroom presets and actually marketing them. And a few other projects that we’re developing behind the scenes.

I share all of this to encourage you — that evolving business is possible. Some days are scary, I often don’t know what I’m doing, and I know it will take time and that’s okay. Because each step forward is important.

I’m thankful for the community that GoDaddy established on LinkedIn — I’d highly recommend checking it out. The wealth of knowledge from other entrepreneurs has given incredible creative solutions and has been a source of encouragement. I’m so grateful for this community and feeling ever so inspired to keep moving forward.

I’ve been asked a few times this month, what does Bon Traveler look like going forward? Transparently, I’m taking a leap of faith and it scares me.

The love for travel will never stop, but what does a business built on travel look like going forward? My response has been that it’s time to pivot. It almost feels like it did five years ago when I launched this blog — the road ahead feels unknown and I’m taking a fresh start. In some ways it’s good, pushing me to refine, be creative, and calculated. And in other moments, there are tears of grieving and self-doubt.

I know I’m not alone in this conversation and leaning on my community to bounce ideas off each other have pushed me forward.

I’m proud to partner with GoDaddy who has a wonderful resource in addition to their microsite. They opened up the community chat on LinkedIn for small business owners and entrepreneurs to connect.

Stronger Together. The community support has been lifting my spirits amidst everything right now. My business and other small businesses are facing difficult challenges and the road ahead feels uncertain.

I’ve been leaning on the support from the entrepreneurial community — getting on the phone with other creatives and learning how we can help each other adapt.
