Here in Mostar, walk the old bazaar and you’ll hear three languages before you hit the next shop. The smell of grilled cevapi and strong coffee hangs in the air. You’ll see the famous divers perched on the bridge’s edge, with their business partners waiting below collecting money before the jump, once the pot is large enough the show begins. In Sarajevo’s Baščaršija district, there is the alley in the old town, its called Coppersmith's alley. The alley is lined with tiny workshops—some no bigger than closets—where master artisans still hand-beat copper into trays, cezves (Bosnian coffee pots), lamps, and decorative plates. Many of the pieces hanging outside are embossed with scenes of Sarajevo. Here you can find all kinds of treasures made of copper.
