What is an ESPM unit?
the E.S.P.M. (Environmental Spacial and Perimeter Monitoring) Unit.
It uses an ultrasonic wavelength sensor that detects anomalies up to 10ft! With 3 different settings to detect distance, you can use it in long hallways, bedrooms, and small spaces.
With a 4 LED array, each LED will light depending on how far the anamoly is from the device.
If you're in another room and hear it trigger, the LEDs will stay on for 10 seconds, allowing the user to check it out!
The Unit uses a Geiger style "chirp" that gets faster as an anomaly approaches it. If the anomaly gets within 4 inches of the device, a red LED will strobe to indicate that it's very close!
The unit also creates a baseline temperature of the space it's in. If the temperature deviates from that baseline by 3 degrees, warm or cold, it'll let the investigator know by sounding an alarm, and lighting a LED (red or blue).
On top of that, it reads atmospheric pressure! Have you ever walked into a room that feels "heavy"?
The ESPM Unit will sense that and let you know!
With a tripod mount on the bottom of the Unit, you can also raise it off the floor!
There is a power indicator LED on the top that also serves as a reminder to change your battery. We designed this to "pulse" when the unit is running normally. When the battery gets low, it switches to a solid color to inform the user it's time to change the battery.
