We rang in the New Year at LEGOLAND California — fireworks at 6:45pm, disco elevators, and zero pressure to stay up till midnight. 🎆🧱
Traveling with a 3- and 5-year-old really showed me what this park does right:
✔️ short lines
✔️ tons of rides for littles
✔️ play areas everywhere
✔️ a hotel that actually gets kids
Is it perfect? Nope.
Is it ideal for families with kids ages ~2–10? Absolutely.

I toured Quantum of the Seas out of the LA port and… consider me impressed. 👀
No waterslides — but SO many experiences. From immersive entertainment and a kids club families will actually use, to surprisingly spacious rooms (even interiors!) and an adults-only retreat I’m still dreaming about.
This ship was built for Alaska and Mexico cruising, and it proves that family travel doesn’t have to be chaotic to be fun.

Here’s the truth: if you want the best cabins, best pricing, and zero stress, the right time to book is… basically now.

And a small word of advice from experience?
