Seattle based beginning through advanced 1-1 and two person paddle board and surf ski lessons and tours by paddle sports author Rob Casey. Learn the basics then challenge your skills in the tidal rapids in Deception Pass, freighter surfing in Seattle, learning how to tour the Salish Sea or riding waves in our surf camps on the Washington coast. Also become a certified SUP instructor with the PSUP

Had a student recently who couldn’t sit upright in the bucket seat of a surf ski. During remount practice their legs were under the boat and were unable to bring them directly below then out flat on the surface to assist in the remount. Surf skier Don Kiesling of Hood River suggested this technique, the Gymnastic Pike to solve the issue. Lifting the legs up and down.. Don is known for his surf ski rudders.

Bald eagle waiting for the right moment to snag a great blue heron from this rookery above the Ballard Locks in Seattle.

Crows, seagulls and a plane were flying nearby, quite a scene. The eagle eventually flew away with its prize with onlookers below watching it go away.
