🚗Day 40: Wilson Park | Fayetteville, North Carolina

Camp Grandma Adventures rolled into Wilson Park in Fayetteville, NC.

While Ms. Pam was busy making herself part of the artwork, Mimi found the perfect seat on the Camp Grandma car, Daffy settled in beside her, and Camp Grandma enjoyed the beautiful flowers on her bike.

Between the sculptures, fountain, flowers, and beautiful park setting, Wilson Park turned out to be the perfect place for a little Camp Grandma fun.

Day 39 – Vollis Simpson Whirligig Park | Wilson, North Carolina

Camp Grandma Adventures has officially made it to North Carolina! And our first adventure brought us to one of the most colorful places yet, Vollis Simpson Whirligig Park in Wilson!

There was so much to see with all the giant whirligigs spinning, twirling and dancing in the breeze. Of course, Camp Grandma and Mimi were perfectly happy enjoying the view from the ground. Ms. Pam? Not so much. Somehow she decided the BEST view of the park was from halfway up one of the sculptures!

Another day, another memory… and North Carolina, we’re just getting started!

Day 38 – Drift Restaurant | Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Today Camp Grandma, Ms. Pam, Mimi and Daffy are stopping at Drift for a little outdoor brunch with a South Carolina twist.

The table is full of Southern favorites, including shrimp & grits, sweet tea and plenty of goodies to share.

Mimi is enjoying her brunch, Camp Grandma is trying to pour the sweet tea, and Daffy has discovered that the very best seat in the restaurant.

Another South Carolina adventure filled with good food, sunshine, laughter and just a tiny bit of chaos!

Day 37 – Lynches River County Park | Coward, South Carolina

Today Camp Grandma, Ms. Pam, Gigi and Daffy are checking out the brand-new, fully enclosed off-leash dog park at Lynches River County Park!

Daffy thought this stop was planned especially for her, and judging by that smile, she may be right! She made plenty of new friends, including a French Bulldog, a Golden Retriever and quite a few other four-legged adventurers.

I’m not sure who had more fun today, Daffy or Ms. Pam!

🚗 Day 36– Greenville, South Carolina

Today Camp Grandma, Ms. Pam, and Mimi are trading four wheels for two as we cruise through beautiful Greenville, South Carolina on e-bikes!

Between the beautiful riverwalk, waterfalls, bridges, flowers, and downtown scenery, there is something fun around every corner.

And then there’s Ms. Pam… Apparently simply riding an e-bike wasn’t exciting enough.
Meanwhile, Camp Grandma and Mimi are doing their best to keep the adventure moving in the right directions.

Another day of making memories, laughing together, and seeing just how much fun we can squeeze into this Camp Grandma road trip.

🚗Day 35 – Trail Riding Company | Aiken, South Carolina

Saddle up! Camp Grandma is trading four wheels for four hooves today! Today Camp Grandma, Ms. Pam, and Mimi are heading to the Trail Riding Company in Aiken, South Carolina for a little horseback riding.

Sometimes the best adventures are the ones where you simply saddle up and see where the trail takes you.

Day 34: Fountain of Youth | Georgetown, South Carolina

Today Camp Grandma, Ms. Pam and Mimi made a stop at the Fountain of Youth. Now, I’m not making any promises, but after a little splash from the fountain, we’re all feeling a few years younger! Camp Grandma is ready for another adventure, Mimi has her cup of youth in hand, and of course Ms. Pam decided that simply drinking the water wasn’t enough. Apparently she needed the deluxe treatment!

I’m beginning to think traveling with these two might be the real Fountain of Youth. Lots of laughter, a little silliness, new places to discover, and memories we’ll be talking about for years.

Day 33: Charleston South Carolina.

Today, Camp Grandma and the crew are rolling through beautiful Charleston, South Carolina! Our adventure takes us aboard the Old South Carriage Company for a horse-drawn ride through the historic streets of Charleston.

Camp Grandma and Mimi managed to find themselves a nice comfortable seat in the carriage. Ms. Pam apparently she missed the memo about actually RIDING in the carriage. She’s bringing up the rear and trying her best to keep up!

Charleston is filled with colorful homes, beautiful gardens, cobblestone streets, churches, and hundreds of years of history. There is something interesting around every corner, which makes it the perfect Camp Grandma Adventure.

🚗Day 32 - Hunting Island Lighthouse in South Carolina!

Gigi had to go home for a bit. We have someone new joining the adventure! Meet Pamela, who will be traveling with Camp Grandma and Ms. Pam for a little while.

Today the three of us are tackling the winding staircase of the Hunting Island Lighthouse. Camp Grandma is leading the charge, Pamela is keeping up beautifully, and then there’s Ms. Pam…

At the top, we’re hoping to be rewarded with beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean, beach, and surrounding landscape. But getting there is half the adventure!

Another day of exploring, laughing, and making memories together. 🩷
