🌧️💦 PSA from the Rainforest 🌿☔
We recently got a review that went something like:
“It rained the whole time and they didn’t even give us rain gear!”
And listen… we get it! Rain isn’t everyone's cup of tea (though it is our local flavor of life). But here’s the deal:
You're in a temperate rainforest. In Alaska.
If it’s not raining, we get suspicious. 😄
At High Output Tours, we don’t shy away from the elements—we embrace them. Mud? It builds character. Mist? Adds mystery. Downpour? That’s just a free facial.
That said, we want every guest to feel ready to rock their rainforest experience, so here's a handy little guide:
🎒 What to Bring on Your Tour
✅ Waterproof jacket (with a hood!)
✅ Water-resistant pants or quick-dry leggings
✅ Shoes you don’t mind getting muddy
✅ An adventurous spirit
✅ A camera with a dry bag — because soggy phones are no fun
✅ Layers — it’s Alaska, baby, we’re moody
🧥 Do We Provide Rain Gear?
We don’t typically provide full rain gear, but some of our tours have a few emergency ponchos stashed away just in case. If you're unsure, feel free to message us before your tour and we’ll let you know what’s available that day.
🌲 Bottom line: if you’re booking an adventure in a rainforest, expect a little rain (or a lot)—but that’s what makes it epic. The moss is greener, the air is cleaner, and the photos are way cooler with some moody mist.
Rain or shine, we’re stoked to show you the wild side of Sitka.
See you out there — rain boots and all!
