Long post alert! 🚨

I get asked this question all the time: “Why should I use a travel agent when I can book everything myself?”

Sometimes, it’s not about finding the cheapest flight or the perfect hotel. It’s about having someone in your corner when things don’t go as planned.

Recently, one of my clients was enjoying a Disney family vacation with her grandchildren when she became seriously ill and had a medical emergency.

As soon as I was contacted about what was happening I started the planning for them to get back home.
While her husband was focused on caring for his wife, I was making phone calls and handling the travel details behind the scenes. I worked with the airlines to change their flights, arranged for a wheelchair so she wouldn’t have to walk through the airport, got them a credit for their transportation since they changed how they wanted to get to the airport and helped transition her husband to a new hotel when they could no longer stay at their original one.

They had enough to worry about. They didn't need to worry about their travel arrangements, too.

This is one of the biggest benefits of having a travel advisor.
