Day 7 of the Scooter Cannonball is the longest day of the event at 551 miles. Riders out of the points should consider an abbreviated route skipping Bonus Points 2 through 7 for a total under 420 miles.

The day begins with a ride from Pecos to the first checkpoint south of Stockton. From there, riders can follow Highways 285 and 90 directly to Comstock or collect Bonus Points 2 through 5 along a mix of desolate canyon roads.

After Comstock, the route passes near the Amistad Reservoir and continues into Texas Hill Country. At Checkpoint #3, riders can ride all or some combination of the Twisted Sisters before ending the day in Kerrville.

The elevation is more moderate than previous mountain stages, but the terrain remains technical, with plenty of winding roads through rolling hills.

Day 4 of the Scooter Cannonball covers roughly 515 miles from Pocatello, Idaho, to Grand Junction, Colorado.

Riders leave Pocatello and pick up early Bonus Points that keep them off I-15 before heading toward Lava Hot Springs and Grace. A 5-mile gravel road leads to a Bonus Point near Maple Grove Hot Springs, or riders can bypass it by briefly detouring through Riverdale to stay on pavement.

From there, it winds through Sheep Creek, Vernal, Dinosaur, and Rangely before heading south through remote terrain and over Douglas Pass via CO-139.

Riders rejoin in Lowman and continue northeast through Boise National Forest, past the Sawtooth Wilderness near Galena Summit, and down through Sun Valley and Ketchum. A checkpoint is located near Craters of the Moon National Monument before the final stretch across the high desert into Pocatello.
