Spot Prairie dogs At Roberts Prairie Dog Town

Not too far from Sage Creek Basin Overlook, Roberts Prairie Dog Town is a pretty fun spot for the eagle-eyed visitor! You see, the whole area around here is filled with the cutest prairie dogs that are just off the western fringes of the park itself.

You might even spot buffalo on the horizon from here!

Los Angeles took a bit of time for me to like, the city is pretty expansive and can be quite hard to navigate with the traffic (which we regularly got stuck in). That being said, what I would recommend is that you think of LA as a cluster of smaller towns. Focus your energy on particular areas you think you’ll like and explore those.

Once in the city, pay a visit to see the Hollywood Sign, visit the Getty Center and watch a game at the Dodger Stadium. It was so much fun when I went! Alternatively, there are other cool spots that make LA one of the fun cities in the US to explore. Of course, you can visit Disneyland (technically Anaheim) and Universal Studios and Santa Monica Pier.

All that exploring, will no doubt work up an appetite, so pop over to Genwa for one of the tastiest Korean grills in California (based in Beverley Hills or Mid Wilshire). You’ll love it.

Kanarra Creek

hiking Kanarra Creek is one of the best things to do in Zion National Park if you want to see an impressive slot canyon. Just shy of 4-miles in length, it’s a hike that’s best suited to those that are familiar with hikes (though it’s not too hard).
Totally beautiful and great to see, you will need a permit hike this route. Typically, they only allow around 150 people to trek the trail each day, so book asap.

Just off Ingraham Highway, heading to the Ernest F. Coe Visitor Center is one of the best things to do in the Everglades for the nearby trails.
Located at the Homestead entrance of Everglades National Park, the visitor centre has a heap of exhibitions, expert guides and rangers that’ll point you in the right direction for trails in the area.
Not only that, but they can also point you in the right direction for houseboat rentals whilst in the Everglades. This is perfect if you want to extend your stay in this stunning part of Florida.

Trust me when I say that Greece is a special place! Not only does it have some incredibly historic cities like Athens, but it also has a load of epic places dotted all across the country. That being said, for me, it’s the stunning Greek islands that are totally beautiful and can’t be missed on any trip to Greece. This is especially true when it comes to all the best things to do in Zakynthos – an Ionian Greek Island that’s just stunning to visit.

Dolomites
Okay, so the Dolomites is a vast area in Northern Italy that isn’t quite like anywhere else beyond the mountain north of the country.
You see, the Dolomites are part of the Southern Limestone Alps and it’s easily one of Italy’s most iconic mountain ranges to visit.
Also, if you’re not heading that far north, you can easily include a hike (or two) around The Little Dolomites that’s perched between Trentino, Verona, and Vicenza. Just make sure to pack those hiking shoes!

One totally beautiful parts to visit is Tre Cime di Lavaredo that’s accessed by some incredible hikes or the Via Ferratas that are so incredible in Northern Italy. Though, always go with a guide (like we did) if you’ve never scaled these before. They are as high as they look! Also, Just be sure to arrive early at the nearby car parking areas, this place can fill up even before 9 am on peak days.
If you’re heading around the whole region surrounding the Dolomites, be sure to check out more around Seceda peak and head towards Santa Maddalena (Val di Funes valley). At the latter point, you’ll get to see the most stunning views over the mountains, which is especially beautiful just before sunset.

Vernal Fall
At 317 feet high, Vernal Fall is one of the best things to do in Yosemite if you love a good hike. You can take a misty stroll through John Muir Trail or Mist Trails (which I did) to get a good look at Vernal Fall from the footbridge.

Now, just remember to take plenty of water and sugary and salty snacks. I hiked this route in June and was so exhausted at the top due to lack of sugar and the glaring sunshine.
Though don’t feel like you can only hike these trails in summer, Vernal Fall is awe-inspiring at any time of the year.

Spring and early summer are great times to hop on the trails, but the Mist Trails can get slippery due to the water spray-off

Cathedral Peak

With the best view from Tuolumne Meadows, Cathedral Peak is a granite masterpiece off-shooting from the Sierras. Formed by glaciers thousands of years ago, Cathedral Peak is a wondrous vista from any angle and totally worth a visit.

You can even reach its summit if you’re an extremely seasoned climber. John Muir, after whom the John Muir Trail was named, was the first person to ever ascend Cathedral Peak in 1869. It has been a famous climbing spot in Yosemite National Park since then.
