One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is that you need thousands of dollars ready before you can start planning a vacation.

For many vacation packages, you don’t. ❤️

Depending on the vacation and supplier, you may be able to:

✨ Secure your trip with a deposit
💰 Make payments along the way
📅 Have a final-payment deadline closer to travel
🏖️ Start planning farther in advance so you have more time to budget

And no—you don’t necessarily have to make the same payment every month.

Some families like to divide their balance into monthly payments. Others make payments whenever it works for their budget.

✨ A pretty resort isn’t enough for me to recommend it to you.

When I’m helping a family choose where to stay, I’m looking at the things that can actually make or break the vacation:

🏖️ What’s the beach really like?
🍽️ Are there enough dining options for your family?
🏊‍♀️ Will your kids actually enjoy the pools and activities?
🛏️ Does the room comfortably fit everyone?
📍 Is the location convenient for what you want to do?
🎉 Is the atmosphere relaxing, lively, romantic or family-focused?
💰 Is an upgraded room or resort actually worth the extra money?

Because a resort can look AMAZING in pictures and still be completely wrong for your family.

That’s also why I’ll sometimes recommend a resort that wasn’t even on your original list—or tell you that I don’t think an upgrade is worth paying for.

I’m not trying to find you the fanciest vacation.
