What a week!

This year’s conference reminded me why I love what I do. Not just because I got to step onboard some incredible ships, but because every tour, training session, and conversation helps me better serve my clients.

Over the last few days, I had the opportunity to tour three very different ships:

But beyond the ships and training, I’m heading home grateful for the friendships, connections, and memories made along the way. Spending time with fellow travel professionals who share the same passion for helping people create unforgettable vacations is always one of the best parts of conference week.

About to step onboard Star of the Seas! 🚢✨

One of the things I love most about attending industry conferences is getting the opportunity to tour ships firsthand. Photos and videos are great, but nothing compares to actually walking the decks, exploring the neighborhoods, checking out the cabins, and experiencing the flow of a ship for yourself.

This morning was all about the Carnival Mardi Gras! 🚢

One of my favorite parts of conference is getting off the PowerPoint slides and actually stepping onboard the ships I’m recommending to clients. There’s a big difference between looking at photos online and walking the ship yourself, checking out the staterooms, exploring the public spaces, and seeing what works (and doesn’t) for different types of travelers.

Now it’s back to the classroom for more Carnival training. Not quite as exciting as touring a ship, but this is where I learn the behind-the-scenes information, updates, and insider knowledge that helps me match my clients with the right vacation.

Today I stepped onboard the Disney Wish, and I completely understand why so many families fall in love with this ship before they ever sail.

As I walked through the beautiful spaces, I couldn’t help but picture all the memories being made here.

Little ones splashing and giggling in the water play areas. Tweens and teens finding their independence in clubs designed just for them. Parents finally slowing down with a quiet coffee, a spa treatment, or an adults-only dinner while the kids are off having the time of their lives.

Mine might look something like this:
