🌍THIS DAY IN DISNEY HISTORY: OCTOBER 23, 1982🌍

On this day, EPCOT Center officially dedicated World Showcase, bringing cultures from around the world together in one extraordinary place!

The celebration featured performers from around the world, a parade of giant People of the World dolls, and the premiere of Le Carnaval de Lumière—EPCOT’s first nighttime spectacular, complete with a show over World Showcase Lagoon and fireworks! 🎆

When EPCOT Center opened, World Showcase featured nine country pavilions: Mexico, China, Germany, Italy, the United States, Japan, France, the United Kingdom, and Canada.

More than four decades later, World Showcase continues to invite guests to explore different cultures, discover new traditions, and experience a little of the world without leaving Florida. 🌎
