Tippy Gourley Amundson and I had a great meeting with our Celebrity Cruises business relation manager today! We learned so much about Celebrity cruises and how to get YOU the best experience on ship.

Not gonna lie, sometimes I get imposter syndrome and I wonder why people use me as their travel agent.

Sure I monitor for promotions, book their dining, help with LL, and send park plans and itineraries and helpful guides, but really you could purchase all those things online if you wanted to, you could research your own resorts, you could call in yourself to add a promotion or make a change to your package, but then days like this weekend happen and I feel so grateful I get to be part of someone’s vacation!

My clients in Disney world right now had a change of plans and wanted to switch their Saturday dining for their Sunday dining. They asked me late Friday afternoon if I could do this for them. While I have many tools and tricks up sleeve i unfortunately cannot make reservations that don’t exist show up, and there were no reservations available. I said don’t worry, we’ll set up an alert and I will do my best to get it switched over, you just enjoy your vacation.

Friday night 11 pm , their Sunday morning breakfast comes up at the exact time they want it! Score!! Snagged that reservation, just one to go. Saturday morning comes and I am watching my phone like a hawk. Every notification that comes in my fingers are ready to fly. As I’m potty training my toddler , I am listening for notifications, as I am quoting other families I am watching my phone. Afternoon rolls around and we have nothing so we make a back up plan!

Suddenly, as I am exiting the bathroom from another toddler potty session (anyone else potty training a toddler? Cause I am exhausted 😅) and the notification comes up! The perfect time for dinner that they requested scored. 2.5 hours before the time, really pulling a buzzer be**er but hey!

My clients were thrilled , I was thrilled, and I was reminded of one of the many reasons people use a travel agent! We are always on call, whether it’s an email to guest services, a call to change a reservation, advice on what LL to get next, or simply watching my phone like a hawk to get reservations switched over… I am here to do that for you while you enjoy your time in the parks or at home with your family. And it’s the greatest rush getting those things taken care of for my families so they don’t have to worry, it truly never gets old!

It’s foodie Friday and today I’m highlighting one my favorite character meals: 1900 park fare!

Located in the grand Floridian this character meal features meet and greets with some of your favorite “wishers” from Disney fairytales like Cinderella, Aladdin, Mirabel, and Tiana!

This buffet is filled with some of your favorite breakfast foods like waffles, biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, and ham, plus some a carving station and omelet station!

My favorite part of this meal is the banana bread! My entire pregnancy with Ilija I CRAVEDDD this bread and it truly is the best tasting banana bread I have ever had.

Pro-tip: since this is a buffet meal, your littles under 3 can eat here for free!! This is huge when planning and budgeting your vacation!
