HAPPY EARTH DAY, FRIENDS!
While we may not be able to get together in a park and plant some trees or do other group Earth Day activities, here are five easy things you can do in and around your home to celebrate:
π Start planning your garden OR create space in your yard for a garden. I'm excited to grow more herbs in my garden this year, here's a link to my favorite variety: https://amzn.to/3cEI87z
π Collect all the plastic bags in your house and put them in a designated spot so you can recycle them the next time you're able to go to Festival Foods or another location that recycles plastic bags (nope, they can't just go in your recycling bin!)
π On that note, look up your local recycling center and see what items they do and don't accept. (For those of you in Brown, Outagamie, and Winnebago counties, the Tri-County Recycling Website has a great list of "What do I do with __": https://www.recyclemoretricounty.org/what-do-i-do-with The Brown County Resource Recovery is a great page to follow, too!)
π Walk around your neighborhood and pick up litter
π Buy a tree online to plant in your yard! I personally love Sugar Maples because their leaves are so beautiful in the fall: https://amzn.to/2VQIykq
