We just got back from a site inspection at Capofaro on the island of Salina, and it's one of those properties that earns every word written about it.
Whitewashed buildings set inside working Malvasia vineyards, views across the Tyrrhenian Sea to Stromboli and Panarea, a lighthouse on the grounds that has been converted into guest rooms, and a restaurant cooking with ingredients grown on the estate. Salina is the greenest of the Aeolian Islands, and Capofaro sits at the quiet center of it. The rhythm of the place is slow in exactly the way you want it to be, and the wine tasting at sunset with those views is not something you'll be in a hurry to leave.
If an Aeolian Island stay is on your radar for Sicily, this is the one to anchor it around. DM us or link in bio to start planning.
