CARIBBEAN + VENEZUELA AIRSPACE UPDATE‼️
Quick heads-up if you’re flying to, through, or from the Caribbean in the next couple of days…
Due to major developments in Venezuela and the surrounding Caribbean airspace, MANY flights have been delayed, rerouted, or canceled as of today. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has placed temporary airspace restrictions, through Saturday this week, over parts of the Caribbean — including Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Aruba, Curacao, and more — leading airlines to ground or cancel flights as a safety precaution.
Here’s what that means for YOU:
If you have a flight soon…
✔️ CHECK your airline app or website right now for the latest status. Things are moving FAST and schedules are shifting.
✔️ Expect possible last-minute cancellations or changes
Travel protection matters‼️
If you purchased travel insurance (please tell me you did)…now is the time to check your policy.
Your plan could cover things like:
✔️ Trip cancellation or interruption reimbursements
✔️ Additional hotel nights or meals if stranded
✔️ Rebooking help
(Depending on your coverage…check your insurer’s terms.)
PRO TRAVEL TIP: Keep all your receipts and screenshots of flight changes. These can really help with insurance claims later!
