Scotland is one of those places that has a special place in my heart! From the charm of Edinburgh to the history, beautiful scenery, and even a little fun with ghost stories, it's a destination I'd happily visit again. ❤️

💙 WHERE TO WEDNESDAY: DÜRNSTEIN, AUSTRIA 🇦🇹

Have you ever visited a place that made you wish you could stay a little longer? That's Dürnstein for me! ❤️

I've had the pleasure of visiting this charming little town in Austria's beautiful Wachau Valley twice, and I'd absolutely love to stay there someday!

Picture colorful historic buildings, narrow cobblestone streets, little shops to browse, vineyards covering the hillsides, and the beautiful Danube River flowing right past town. And you can't miss that gorgeous blue church tower! 💙

There's also a fascinating bit of history here! The ruins of Dürnstein Castle are where England's King Richard the Lionheart was held captive in the 1190s. You can explore the ruins and enjoy incredible views over the Danube Valley. 🏰

But honestly, I think part of the magic would be staying overnight, enjoying a leisurely dinner, and soaking up the atmosphere after the day-trippers have left.

Some places are wonderful to visit, but others make you wish you had more time. Dürnstein is one of those places for me! ✨

Here's a little tip that could save you some vacation stress! 🧳

Always pack a change of clothes in your carry-on!

If your checked luggage takes a detour without you, you'll be glad you have a fresh outfit handy! 😂

I also recommend keeping your medications, travel documents, valuables, and other essentials with you rather than in your checked bag.

A little planning can make a big difference when travel doesn't go exactly as planned!
