Today was Old San Juan in Puerto Rico. We were fortunate enough to visit Puerto Rico for a week last year but today's cruise stop was equally special.

Stepping inside the Catedral Metropolitana Basílica de San Juan Bautista felt like walking through centuries of history right in the heart of Old San Juan. We happened to be there during one of their masses, and it made the visit feel even more special to be a part of the history that is this building.

Founded in 1521, this stunning cathedral is one of the oldest in the Americas and the oldest Catholic church on US soil. The architecture, the stained glass, and the peaceful atmosphere make it a must visit

One of the most fascinating details is that it is the final resting place of Juan Ponce de León, adding even more depth to its already rich story

Whether you are drawn by history, faith, or simply beautiful places, this basilica is truly something special and worth slowing down to experience

Puerto Plata has such a special place in Dominican history because it was the very first tourism destination for the Dominican Republic. It is so easy to understand why once you see the bright blue water the mountains and the colorful culture all around you. 🌴✨

A favorite moment today was visiting the beautiful Christ the Redeemer statue on Mount Isabel de Torres. Standing beneath it with those sweeping views of the city and coastline felt peaceful powerful and absolutely unforgettable. 🙌✨

From history to scenery Puerto Plata truly offers everything. Already dreaming about coming back. 💛🇩🇴
