🏰 **Okay, Disney fans. Let’s stir the pot a little.** 👀😂

What’s your Disney opinion that might get your mouse ears revoked?

A ride everyone loves that you could happily skip?
A restaurant you think is completely overrated?
A Disney “must-do” that is definitely NOT a must-do for you?
Or maybe you love something everyone else seems to hate?

There are no wrong answers here.

Well... probably. 🤣

I’ll put mine in the comments. 👇

Now let’s hear yours. **What’s your controversial Disney opinion?** 🌶️🏰

🍂🏰 **Hello, September!** 🏰🍂

Fall is officially in the air... at least at Disney. Florida may not have gotten the memo yet. 😂

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is in full swing, EPCOT’s International Food & Wine Festival is underway, and pumpkins are taking over Main Street. 🎃🍷

So if you could magically transport yourself to Walt Disney World **right now**, what would you be most excited about?

🎃 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
🍽️ Eating your way around EPCOT’s Food & Wine Festival
👻 A ride on Haunted Mansion because... obviously
🏰 Soaking up all the fall decorations and atmosphere
✨ Something else entirely?

Me? **I’m not choosing.** 😁

There’s just something about Disney in the fall that I love—and apparently I’ve felt that way for a while. 🎃❤️

One of my favorite things about September is that with kids back in school, park days can sometimes be a little lighter. Give me a few days at Disney and I’ll make time for **both** Mickey’s Not-So-Scary AND Food & Wine. 🎃🍷

Now it’s your turn—if you were headed to Disney this September, what would be at the top of your list? 👇

💡 Here's a little Disney "cheat code"...

Before you pay Disney directly, check to see if you can buy Disney Gift Cards at a discount first.

It's one of those simple tricks that can save anywhere from a few dollars to over $100 on a vacation—without changing a single thing about your trip.

Take a look at:
✨ Sam's Club
✨ Costco
✨ BJ's
✨ Target (Red Card discount)
✨ Grocery store gift card promotions

It's not a huge discount on each card, but the savings stack up surprisingly fast on a Disney vacation!

Sometimes the best Disney tips aren't about rides... they're about keeping a little extra money in your pocket. 😉

🏨 Disney Resort Series: Part 4 – How Do You Choose the Right Disney Resort?

One of the questions I get asked most is, "Which Disney resort is the best?"

My answer is always the same...

It depends. 😊

The best Disney resort isn't the most expensive one—it's the one that's the best fit for your vacation.

Here are some of the questions I think through when helping someone choose a resort:

💰 What's your budget?
Would you rather save on your room so you can splurge on dining, Lightning Lanes, or souvenirs? Or is the resort itself a priority?

🎢 How much time will you spend at the resort?
If you're planning to rope drop every morning and stay until the fireworks, you may not need all the extra amenities. But if you love pool days, afternoon naps, or relaxing at the resort, where you stay becomes a much bigger part of your vacation.

🚍 How important is transportation?
Would you love being able to hop on the Monorail or Skyliner? Or are you perfectly happy taking the bus? The answer can make a big difference in which resort is the best fit.

📍 Which parks will you visit the most?
If you're planning multiple EPCOT and Hollywood Studios days, a Skyliner resort might be ideal. If Magic Kingdom is your family's favorite, you may want to stay somewhere with Monorail, boat, or walking access.

🎨 How "Disney" do you want your resort to feel?
Some people love giant Disney characters and colorful, larger-than-life theming. Others prefer a more subtle, elegant atmosphere that still tells a Disney story without Mickey around every corner.

🎉 Are you celebrating something special?
Birthdays, anniversaries, first trips, or family reunions might make certain resorts or special experiences even more memorable.

✨ The truth is... there isn't one perfect Disney resort.

There are dozens of amazing choices, and the "right" one depends entirely on what matters most to you.

Now I'm curious...

What's the #1 thing you look for when choosing a Disney resort? 👇

🍽️ Not every Disney vacation looks the same... so why should everyone's dining plan?

One of the things I like about the Disney Dining Plan is that there isn't a one-size-fits-all option. Disney offers three different dining plans because families vacation differently.

🥤 Quick-Service Dining Plan
If your goal is to maximize ride time and keep your schedule flexible, this option may be a great fit. It's perfect for families who would rather grab a meal and get back to the fun.

🍴 Disney Dining Plan
This is a great middle ground if you enjoy a mix of convenience and experiences. You can keep some meals quick while also making time for things like character dining or themed restaurants.

✨ Disney Deluxe Dining Plan
If dining is one of the highlights of your vacation, this plan was made with you in mind. It's ideal for guests who love trying unique restaurants, signature dining, dinner shows, and immersive dining experiences.

The "best" dining plan isn't the one with the most included—it's the one that fits how your family likes to vacation.

👇 Which sounds most like you?

🚶‍➡️ "Let's grab a quick bite and get back to the rides!"

🍽️ "I like a nice balance of rides and memorable meals."

✨ "Dining is part of the vacation experience!"

🍽️ Disney Dining Plan 101: How Do the Credits Work?

Yesterday I talked about the Disney Dining Plan being a way to prepay for your meals before your vacation. But how do you actually use it?

Instead of dollars, Disney gives you dining credits.

Depending on which Dining Plan you choose, you'll receive a certain number of:
🍔 Quick-Service meal credits
🍽️ Table-Service meal credits
🥨 Snack credits

What's the difference?

🍔 Quick-Service restaurants are exactly what they sound like. You order at a counter or through the mobile app, grab your food, and find a table. They're a great option when you want to maximize your park time.

🍽️ Table-Service restaurants are sit-down meals with a server. They're also where you'll find many of Disney's most memorable dining experiences—from character meals with Mickey and the princesses to beautifully themed restaurants that become part of your vacation memories. Sometimes you're there for the food... but sometimes you're there for the experience. ✨

One of my favorite things about the Dining Plan is that your credits are flexible. Your plan includes a certain number of credits based on the number of nights you're staying, but you don't have to use them one set way each day.

For example, if your plan includes one table-service and one quick-service meal per night, you could enjoy two table-service meals today and two quick-service meals tomorrow. As long as you have credits available, you decide when to use them.

Worried about keeping track of your credits? Disney makes it easy! You can see your remaining dining credits in the My Disney Experience app, and they're also printed on your receipt each time you use them. No need to keep a running tally while you're busy making memories. 😊

If you could choose, would you rather spend your dining credits on amazing food or unforgettable experiences like character dining? 👇

🍽️ A Disney vacation is about so much more than the rides... the food is an experience all its own.

From themed restaurants and character dining to dinner shows and iconic Disney snacks, dining is part of the magic. Some of our family's favorite Disney memories have been made around the table—not just because of what we ate, but because of the experiences we shared.

If you're planning a Walt Disney World vacation, you've probably heard people talking about the Disney Dining Plan. But what exactly is it?

Think of it as a way to prepay for most of your meals before your vacation even begins.

When you book a Disney Resort vacation package that includes both your resort stay and theme park tickets, you can choose to add a Disney Dining Plan. Instead of paying for meals throughout your trip, you'll use dining credits for eligible meals and snacks.

Disney currently offers three dining plan options, each designed for a different vacation style. Whether you prefer grabbing quick meals between rides or you're dreaming of character dining and relaxing sit-down restaurants, there's an option that may be a great fit for your family.

Over the next several weeks, I'll be breaking down each dining plan, sharing tips for getting the most value from your dining credits, and helping you decide whether the Disney Dining Plan is right for your family.

✨ Have you ever used the Disney Dining Plan? If so, did you love it, or would you rather pay as you go? I'd love to hear your thoughts! 👇

🏨 Disney Resort Series: Part 3 – Deluxe Resorts

When most people picture their dream Disney vacation, they're often imagining a Deluxe Resort. ✨

And for good reason! Deluxe Resorts offer some incredible perks that can make your vacation even more magical.

Here's what you can typically expect:

🏰 Prime locations—often within walking distance, a monorail ride, boat ride, or Skyliner trip from a park
🛏️ Larger rooms with upgraded furnishings
🍽️ Multiple dining options, including signature restaurants and lounges
🏊 Beautiful pool complexes with water slides and extra amenities
🌺 Stunning theming that feels elegant while still telling a Disney story
🌙 A resort that's just as much a destination as the parks themselves

But here's something I always say...

The best Disney resort isn't the most expensive one—it's the one that fits your family's vacation style, priorities, and budget. ❤️

Some families plan to be in the parks from rope drop until the fireworks every day. Others love taking midday breaks, enjoying resort restaurants, relaxing by the pool, or even spending an entire day soaking in everything the resort has to offer.

That's why there isn't one "best" Disney resort. The right choice depends on how you want to vacation.

Disney's Deluxe Resorts include:
🐘 Animal Kingdom Lodge
🏖️ Beach Club Resort
🎪 BoardWalk Inn
🌊 Yacht Club Resort
🌴 Polynesian Village Resort
✨ Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
🚝 Contemporary Resort
🌲 Wilderness Lodge
🎨 Riviera Resort

Helping families find the resort that's the right fit is one of my favorite parts of planning a Disney vacation. ❤️

So tell me...

🏨 Disney Resort Series: Part 2 – Moderate Resorts

If Value Resorts are all about maximizing your Disney budget and Deluxe Resorts are all about luxury... then Moderate Resorts might just be Disney's sweet spot. 💙

Moderate Resorts offer a little more space, a few more amenities, and a more relaxing atmosphere—without the Deluxe price tag.

Here's what you can typically expect:

🌴 Larger rooms with a little extra breathing room
🍽️ Both quick-service and table-service dining
🏊 Feature pools with water slides and hot tubs
🍹 Lounges and pool bars
🌺 Beautiful landscaping and a quieter, more peaceful atmosphere
🚌 Bus transportation, with some resorts also offering boats or the Skyliner

One of my favorite things about Moderate Resorts is that they feel like a vacation even when you're taking a break from the parks. Whether you're strolling along the waterfront at Port Orleans or relaxing with a drink by the pool, they're designed to slow the pace just a bit.

Disney's Moderate Resorts are:
🏝️ Caribbean Beach Resort
🌿 Port Orleans – French Quarter
🎷 Port Orleans – Riverside
🎣 Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground*
🏜️ Coronado Springs Resort

*Fort Wilderness is a little unique, offering campsites and cabins instead of traditional hotel rooms—but Disney classifies it as a Moderate Resort!

Now I'm curious...

If you had to choose, would you rather:
💰 Save money with a Value Resort
💙 Upgrade to a Moderate for the extra amenities
✨ Or are you holding out for Deluxe?

🏨 Disney Resort Series: Part 1 - Value Resorts

When most people hear "Value Resort," they think cheap.

But honestly? Some of Disney's most popular resorts are Value Resorts.

Value Resorts are perfect for families who plan to spend most of their time in the parks and just need a fun place to sleep, swim, and recharge.

Here's what you can typically expect:

✨ Big, bold Disney theming
✨ Lower price point
✨ Food court-style dining
✨ One main pool (no water slides)
✨ Smaller rooms
✨ Fewer transportation options (though some have Skyliner access 👀)

The biggest advantage? You can often save hundreds—or even thousands—of dollars compared to higher resort categories and use that money for character meals, souvenirs, special experiences, or an extra day at Disney.

Some popular Value Resorts include:
🏀 All-Star Sports
🎵 All-Star Music
🎬 All-Star Movies
📸 Pop Century
🎨 Art of Animation

Personally, I think Pop Century and Art of Animation have changed the game for Value Resorts thanks to the Skyliner. 🚠

Question for my Disney fans:

Would you rather stay at a Value Resort and have more money for Disney fun, or spend more on the resort itself?

And if you've stayed at a Value Resort, which one is your favorite? 👇
