If you love to travel, you may want to take a look at the Chase Sapphire Reserve.
Chase recently came out with a record 150,000 point sign up bonus, which is one of the biggest offers we have seen on the card.
If you simply cashed out the points, they would be worth $1,500.
However, the best way to use them is usually by transferring the points to one of Chase’s 14 travel partners.
By doing that, it is possible to get far more than $1,500 in travel value.
The card does come with a hefty $795 annual fee, but it also has a lot of perks that can help offset that cost if you will actually use them.
One of my favorite benefits is the easy to use $300 travel credit. You do not have to jump through hoops or book through a portal to use it.
If it codes as travel, the credit applies. Flights, hotels, parking, tolls, rideshares, and more can trigger it.
The card also comes with airport lounge access, a Global Entry or TSA PreCheck credit, strong travel protections, hotel credits, dining credits, DoorDash benefits, Lyft credits, and elevated earnings on travel and dining purchases.
One thing that really stands out to me is the travel protections.
The Chase Sapphire Reserve has some of the best protections out there for delays, cancellations, rental cars, and baggage issues.
If you travel much at all, that can provide a lot of peace of mind.
If you already have the Sapphire Preferred, you can still apply and be approved for the Sapphire Reserve.
I have a link in the comments if you want to check out the card. If you are approved through my link, I will earn some bonus points, but it will not impact you in any way.
As always, make sure the card fits your travel habits and spending before applying. A premium card is only worth it if you will actually use the benefits.
